#BRUSH FOR CONTOUR POWDER PRO#

The Makeup Revolution Pro Curve Contour Brushes bristles are all very silky and smooth, and I’ve not experienced any shedding with any of the brushes so far. Overall, I think these Makeup Revolution Pro Curve Contour Brushes are great for the price and I’d recommend them all except the Eyeshadow Brush.

I really didn’t think I’d like this brush, but it’s the one that surprised me the most. My favourite use for this brush is actually for applying concealer, as the dense and stiff bristles are great for applying and blending both on blemishes and under the eyes. I’ve tried to apply blush with this brush, and it does an OK job but it’s very small so I’ve found that it does require a lot more blending, and effort. I really like the angle on the brush, and it fits the contours of the cheeks really well and applies powder and cream highlighter nice and evenly. I’ve never seen a brush like this one before, and I was a little skeptical on how effective it would be as it’s very small for a blush/highlight brush. This brush is the only rounded brush from the collection, with its bristles shaped with an angle and are pretty dense. Makeup Revolution Pro Curve Contour Blusher and Highlighting Brush £4.99 I think this brush would have been a lot better if they reduced the length of the bristles by at least half, as it’s just impossible to use. The shape is a little strange for eyeshadow, as the edge is very narrow which you could potentially use for applying eyeliner but again the bristles are so flexible that they don’t offer any precision or control. The bristles are really quite long, and are slightly angled, but due to the length of the bristles, they’re just much too flexible and don’t actually apply any product to the lids. This is my least favourite brush from the collection, and one I’d recommend skipping. Makeup Revolution Pro Curve Contour Eyeshaow Brush £3.99 it’s definitely best used for cream contouring. I have tried to use this brush for applying concealer, blush, bronzer and highlighter but it doesn’t do a very good job sadly. This brush is a lot more precise as it’s considerably smaller than the Powder Brush, so it works well at contouring with creams. Since this brush was such a fail at applying foundation, I tried it with my Beauty UK Ultimate Contour Palette which contains cream contour shades, and it performed a lot better. the shape is completely wrong, and it just doesn’t apply foundation very well at all as the bristles just wipe the product back and forth which doesn’t make for an even finish. I really wouldn’t recommend this brush for foundation.

The bristles of this brush are shaped in almost a slope design, and they’re a lot less densely packed than the aforementioned Powder Brush. Makeup Revolution Pro Curve Contour Foundation Brush £5.99 I really like that the bristles aren’t too dense, so you can apply product and blend it out easily so you’re not left with any harsh lines. The brush fits nicely in the hollows of the cheeks to add definition when used with a contour powder such as the NYX Taupe Blush. This brush works really well as a typical contouring brush, and it reminds me of my much loved W7 Face Blender Brush, and is very similar to the Illamasqua Blush Up Brush. The bristles have an elliptical shape which are slightly angled, and are quite dense. This is my favourite brush from the collection, and the one I’d recommend the most. Makeup Revolution Pro Curve Contour Powder Brush £5.99 When these Makeup Revolution Pro Curve Contour Brushes arrived, I was instantly impressed with how luxe their outer packaging was compared to the plastic pouches of their standard brush line. The Makeup Revolution Pro Curve Contour Brushes are made with synthetic black bristles and have black glossy, wooden handles and rose gold ferrules, and vary in price from £3.99 and £5.99 if bought separately.

The Makeup Revolution Pro Curve Contour Brushes are designed for sculpting and contouring, and consist of four different brushes and can be bought for £15 as a set, or you can purchase them individually should you wish to. Makeup Revolution very kindly sent me a surprise parcel a few weeks ago, which contained their brand new makeup brushes.
